Chirri was born in Beirut in 1957, and finished his highschool in the Lebanese capital. He is a member of Hezbollah’s Religious Education Association, which oversees the group’s educational activities and schools, and served as the president of Hezbollah’s Al-Ahed Sports Club from 1997-2000. Chirri also served as a member in Beirut’s municipal council in 1998, and was reelected in 2004. He was a member of the Beirut Traders Association from 1998-2002. He was elected to parliament in 2005 as a representative of Beirut, and served as the Rapporteur of its Youth and Sports Commission and as a member of the National Economy, Trade, Production, and Planning Committee. He is married to Hoda Safa, and  is the father of four children. He was reelected in 2018 as Hezbollah’s representative from the Beirut II electoral district.
