On June 30, 2020, Kosovo announced that it declared Hezbollah in its entirety as a terrorist organization. The prior year, Kosovo had designated only Hezbollah’s military wing. The course change followed a proposal by Kosovo’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, leading parliament to extend the designation to the group’s so-called political wing.  Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Minister Meliza Haradinaj tweeted that the decision was meant to “contribute to protect & advance national, regional & global security interests."
